What is RomandIX :
RomandIX is a non-profit organisation, based on the Swiss Civil code.

Goals :
The goal of RomandIX is to facilitate and improve Internet reachability and access to his members, and to support the internet community at large. To fulfil this objective, RomandIX will provide :
- An internet Exchange point
- Connectivity services, such as transport and peering in and out of Switzerland
- The infrastructure to enable the members to use these services.

How to join :
- Anyone person or organisation who have an interest in these goals, and agree with the organisation statuts [1] can join RomandIX, therefor the joining policy is open. RomandIX's committee can choose to deny membership to an applying member and will have to motivate that decision.  To join the IXP :
- You need to be an ISP with an ASN and your own IP space.
- RomandIX provides some routes servers, and have an open peering policy for these.
- The joining ISP must have up to date RIR records, and take care of the security of the devices within his network.
- Peering agreements must be bilateral and always agreed between the members, and is not the responsibility of RomandIX.
